The Daily Shuffle

I’m starting with the man in the mirror
I’m asking him to change his ways
And no message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and make a change

I don’t want to believe in the Michael Jackson the media portrayed during his final years. I don’t want to believe in the lawsuits, in the allegations.

I want to believe that he was one of the most misunderstood geniuses of my time. Few could look past the looks and realize what defined this man was his devotion to “make a change” rather than his fragility and non-conformist behavior. I want to believe that he really had good intentions at heart; more than any of us perhaps.

Let’s now remember him by the messages he hoped we would hear, if we ever managed to listen.
